As part of the interactive children’s exhibition “POP UP CRANACH,” the ALICE Museum commissioned us to produce a series of video clips. These clips were intended to serve as entertaining dance tutorials, offering children a special hands-on experience within the exhibition.

The “POP UP CRANACH” exhibition centers on eight unique paintings that take visitors on an exciting journey through time and across a city. These paintings suddenly come to life, transforming into shadows, sounds, interactive play worlds, and vibrant color palettes. Every detail in these paintings becomes a fascinating mystery.

Our video clips helped unleash the creative energy and dance potential of our young visitors as they explored the world of art and movement in this unique exhibition.

Culture in the Digital Age.

Discover the fascinating fusion of media worlds.

In addition to promotional videos, product videos, and many other formats, we also produce videos for exhibitions and theaters. Museums, theaters, and exhibitions have long since ceased to be analog art forms. Digitalization is in full swing here as well.

The convergence of digital and analog media is particularly exciting in the arts. Whether it involves animated or live-action films on stage or films used as part of exhibitions, they offer the opportunity to convey complex content to the audience in a simple and concise way. This is particularly important because every stage or exhibition space has certain limitations. These limitations can be spatial or financial in nature. It is not always possible to realize a director’s or exhibition designer’s ideas due to these constraints. In such cases, exhibition and theater films often prove to be the best option.

By using film as a medium, you can bring your creative visions to life while taking existing constraints into account. The flexibility and versatility of film make it possible to tell stories and convey information regardless of the physical limitations of space or budget. This helps enrich and modernize artistic and cultural experiences by facilitating access to content in innovative ways.

As part of the special national exhibition in Wittenberg, titled “It Was the Monk,” we had the opportunity to produce a fascinating film series for the Luther Memorials Foundation, featuring a dog puppet created specifically for the project and live actors.

“It Was the Monk!” invites you on a thrilling journey through time to late-medieval Wittenberg. Guided by Luther’s dog Tölpel—who is much smarter than his name suggests—the young adventurers set out on the trail of the monk Martin Luther on that fateful October 31, 1517. Hot on his heels, they follow him through the city to the door where the theses were posted. The films have helped bring history to life in a captivating way and offer visitors a unique experience.

Film productions for your exhibition or theater?

Unleash visual emotions!

In exhibitions, interviews, historical archival material, or staged scenes are used to convey information.

Theatrical films are used in a variety of ways. For example, they serve as moving backdrops or transitions between scenes. Furthermore, they are an indispensable element in the marketing of plays today, because no photograph and no text—no matter how emotionally charged—can convey what happens on your stage as effectively as a short film.

This theater film, produced for the renowned Berliner Ensemble, offers a behind-the-scenes look at the play “Der Weg zurück” (original title: *The Regression*), which was written by Dennis Kelly specifically for the BE. The play explores a movement that vehemently opposes progress, technology, and science. This opposition is based on the conviction that these developments have put humanity in a dangerous position and led to political and social injustice. “Der Weg zurück” condemns the exploitation of resources, the use of antibiotics, genetic engineering, and cell phone radiation. The highest good in this movement is ignorance.

In this theater film, director David Bösch gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at a junkyard of technology and shares his thoughts on the production. Set and costume designers Patrick Bannwart and Falko Herold also speak, explaining the creation of the shadow film, which is an integral part of the set design. Dramaturg Sibylle Baschung raises important questions: How did society reach this point, and how can it break free from it? A fascinating look at the artistic portrayal of regression and the confrontation with the challenges of modernity.
