A Look Back at Our 20-Day Training Video Production on Radiation Protection
Here is the wrap-up photo from our 20-day training film production on the topic of radiation protection, which we produced as a multi-part film series in 2010 on behalf of BG ETEM. In addition to our client from BG, physicist and occupational safety expert Thomas Ludwig; host and professor Harald Lesch; director Oliver Pässler; DoP Sven Müller; my father, Heiko Wolfes; and various other team members, it also features a certain Felix Landbeck. He’s the one in the top left corner wearing the cheeky flat cap.
We had hired Felix as a production assistant back then; he was primarily responsible for organizational matters related to this very complex training film production. However, even back then, he had a real knack for working with cameras and was always right there with us whenever we were filming.
On one of the shooting days—I think it was in the studio in Weimar with Harald Lesch—we needed a second camera, simply to make the host segments easier to edit. Felix volunteered right away, and that’s how he ended up operating the second camera on set.
His first project for us can be seen in this film:

He did a good job—at least there were no complaints from the Post. Another positive aspect that stood out was the many set photos Felix took. In addition to his clearly excellent camerawork, it was above all these photos that immediately showed us that Felix has an eye for composition.
And so it happened that, as the managing director of PanFilm, I kept an eye on the talented Felix and brought him on board for additional projects whenever possible.
In addition to image, product, and recruitment videos, we produced many other groundbreaking training videos in the 2010s, including our series “Tom’s Life,” which we created between 2015 and 2019 on behalf of BG BAU.

Stronger Together: PanFilm Wolfes & Landbeck GbR in 2022
Over the years, it became increasingly clear just how well we work together with Felix Landbeck. And so it happened that Felix became more and more involved in both business and creative processes. Eventually, we were acquiring clients together and developing concepts for them together.
The logical next step was the idea of fully pooling our resources and working together as PanFilm Wolfes & Landbeck GbR to produce masterful training films.
In 2022, we finally took the plunge and have been serving our customers as equal partners ever since.
Here’s to many more successful years, Felix!
