Corporate videos have become essential for the public image of companies of all kinds. Even if, as in the example below, a company is so successful and its work is so indispensable to all of us that, in theory, it could do without public relations. Nevertheless, our Berlin-based client, pigadi, decided to have us produce three promotional videos. But first things first…
Water is life
Water is an essential resource for the survival of humans, animals, and plants. As drinking water, it is the most important foodstuff of all. Water also plays a formative role by shaping habitats through erosion and sedimentation. Furthermore, water is needed in many ways for ongoing industrialization, and the rising standard of living for many people is also driving up consumption.
Since the dawn of human life on Earth, the availability of sufficient and clean water has been of central importance. Water availability and its use will be of paramount importance for the development of countries and regions—due to climate change and the expected population growth to around 9 billion people by 2050. Functioning wells play a vital role in supplying water to people and the economy. In countries such as Germany, over 60% of drinking water is sourced from groundwater. Water utilities extract water from depths ranging from a few meters to as much as 100 meters. Two main types of wells are used for this purpose: horizontal filter wells and vertical filter wells.
pigadi ensures our water supply
Our client, pigadi, specializes in analyzing the functionality and performance of well systems, as well as the resulting restoration and rehabilitation work. The company, which is part of Berlinwasser, provides its services primarily in Germany and Switzerland. pigadi enjoys a strong reputation, which it has earned over the past 20-plus years through the careful and conscientious execution of its projects and the high quality of its services. Particular emphasis is placed on a thorough analysis of existing wells. Only after a detailed analysis has been conducted can reliable conclusions be drawn regarding which measures will yield the desired results.
3 Berlin Promotional Films: A Theme
Over the past two years, we have produced three promotional videos for pigadi that showcase the company and its activities in very different ways.
The first is a classic corporate video that we consistently tell from the perspective of water. On a metaphorical level, the water conveys, in general terms, how important it is for life on Earth. The promotional film then becomes increasingly concrete, shifting the focus to pigadi and its employees, who make a valuable contribution to ensuring that water of the highest quality is available anytime, anywhere. Narrated by the distinctive voice of Rainer Schöne—better known as the German voice actor for Willem Dafoe —the corporate film gains additional thematic depth.

We produced the second film in the form of a documentary. Subject: A well renovation in Cortébert in the canton of Bern, Switzerland. The documentary follows pigadi’s employees and the client as they carry out their work and uses on-the-spot interviews to discuss the challenges and solutions. This well is being renovated using the inline method, in which new insertion pipes made of coiled wire are inserted into the existing filter strings. In addition, the inline shock treatment method is being used. As with many projects carried out by pigadi, divers from the Gilz diving company were also deployed for this job. pigadi and Gilz have been working closely together for many years. Reliable diving teams are a crucial component of pigadi’s operations.
