In March of this year, we had the opportunity to board the AS Floriana on behalf of MPC Container Ships —one of the 62 container ships managed by the renowned Wilhelmsen Ahrenkiel Ship Management. On a voyage from Panama to Jamaica, we accompanied the ship for three exciting days of filming and gathered footage for MPC Container Ships’ upcoming promotional video. During our time on board, we conducted interviews with various crew members to provide insights into life at sea.
Among the protagonists of these films, Dmitry Novikov—the captain of the AS Floriana—stands out in particular. But it’s not just the captain who’s in the spotlight: Our cameras also captured the second engineer and the third officer, who, together with Captain Novikov, form the heart of this ship. These recruitment videos offer insights into work and life on the high seas.
